I tried blogging a while back and lost the urge because my posts had no purpose anymore. And frankly, I was getting bored with what I wrote myself. So I'm trying it again. This time this blog will be mainly dedicated to book reviews. No matter what has happened in my life, I've always loved to read. It's my #1 love and I feel like something is missing when I don't have one near. Being able to go to a new world right in your own head is an amazing experience. And it tests your creative ability to visualize the worlds these authors create. For this reason, I mainly read fiction because non-fiction is confined to the reality of this world.
Another amazing thing about reading is thinking about the writing process. Imagining that author putting these fantastic ideas on paper in a way that is interesting and meaningful to the world gets my utmost respect. I've tried doing it myself and have failed to find the flow in my writing that is crucial to a good novel. It's hard to do and those gifted with this are blessed.
I wish I could be a writer myself one day but, for now, I will settle for using this blog to post reviews of books I read.
Hope you enjoy. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Hip Hip Hooray, Nichole is blogging again. I think you should start writing too. I will be Demosthenes and you can be Locke just like Peter and Valentine!
I understood the reference but neither one of us likes to torture squirrels...unless you count those times when me and Kim felt scientific and started dissecting dead squirrels and birds with her mom's butcher knife. I wonder if they ever used it again. I wonder if that's why Kim was so crazy...all those bird and squirrel germs mixing with their food, hmmmm.
did u take the name of this blog from npr? all things considered? idk, that's the first thing i thought of when i saw the title. maybe i listen to public radio too much. should tune in to some of that thought provoking mainstream radio. i mean, we have poets like lil wayne who are able to craft lyrics in which they rhyme a word with itself - it's amazing. still i find myself having the urge to crank everything-in-the-world, get my dougie, and do the stanky leg!
At first I was wondering who Rattler4Life was...but I kept reading and knew it could only be you! But no, I just started listening to NPR so it hasn't yet had a chance to make me smarter (at least I hope it makes me smarter). So, yes, Lil Wayne was my inspiration. For real, though, work had me so tired and that's what came up.
and I looked it up and it's called All Things Considerate on NPR...
Well tired from work or not, i dig the name. but the title on NPR is All Things Consider*ed*: http://www.npr.org/templates/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId=2
Hah! I caught that after I posted the first comment but I was too lazy to correct it...
